

TINA BETZ earned her Bachelor of Liberal Studies at Boston University. Tina was previously the City of Wilmington’s Director of Cultural Affairs and Fund Development, and President of Cityfest, Inc., a City-related 501c3 non-profit, from 2001-2013 where she managed community-wide events and arts projects, such as the DuPont Clifford Brown Jazz Festival, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Celebration, Independence Day celebration, Riverfront Blues Festival and Art-On-The-Town, Wilmington’s visual arts gallery loop. Tina co-founded and managed arts projects such as the Wilmington Children’s Chorus, the Fringe Wilmington Festival, Clifford Brown Year Round concert series, and the City’s first and only theater dedicated to independent films, filmmaking and filmmakers, Theatre N at Nemours. As a Board member of the Shipley Village Community Development Corporation and Mayor’s Office Liaison, Tina was instrumental in the development of Delaware’s first residences for creative industry practitioners – Shipley Lofts. Tina also served as the public art program administrator. During her tenure, the Wilmington added three major public art pieces to its inventory. As the City’s international cultural liaison, the City participated in cultural exchange projects with Wilmington’s Sister Cities.
Tina is a classically trained singer, who has worked as a commercial and film voice over actor. Her theater resumé lists performance credits in regional theaters and off-Broadway, where she portrayed a diversity of roles in shows from Sweeney Todd to The Vagina Monologues. For more than a decade, Tina was an independent producer of business meetings and special events, trade shows, and corporate professional development sessions.
