Pianist Julie Nishimura, bassist Douglas Mapp, contralto Tina Betz, and the young musician/composers of the Boysie Lowery Living Jazz Residency Program (Jonathan Whitney, Director) collaborate with DCMF artists for a special concert of inspiration, bringing together classical and jazz in traditional and non traditional ways.
Program includes Libby Larsen's Four on the Floor for violin, cello, bass and piano, "Strange Fruit," and hot new works written for DCMF by the young jazzers!
